Experience an historic Pennsylvania German winter season celebration at the Peter Wentz Farmstead in Worcester on Saturday, December 2, 2017 from 3pm to 9pm. Enjoy a glimpse into candlelit holiday traditions typical of the 1700s, including live music and a visit with Belsnickel (Pennsylvania German for Saint Nicholas in fur).
Children of all ages will enjoy meeting Belsnickel from 3pm to 6pm, and some may even receive some treats! Beginning at dusk, lanterns will light the way to the barn and sheepfold where guests can visit with the animals. While waiting to tour the historic house, join our colonial neighbors as they make toasts and fire their rifles to commemorate the excitement of the season. And the museum shop and visitors’ center will be open for the purchase of seasonal gifts and light refreshments.
A $2.00 donation per person is suggested.
