Looking for a safe and responsible way to discard used motor oil, an old bottle of weed killer, or your son’s 8th-grade science experiment gone awry? The good folks at Montgomery County make it easy to dispose of the bad stuff in your home through its annual hazardous household waste collection program. And the service is free for Montgomery County residents! Business and industrial wastes are not accepted. The next HHW collection will be held on Saturday, September 28, Spring-Ford 9th Grade Center, 400 South Lewis Road, Royersford, 9am to 3pm. Click here for all 2019 HHW collection dates and times, lists of acceptable and unacceptable materials, and more program information.
The next tire collection (also free!) will be held on Saturday, June 29, at the Western Montgomery Career and Technology Center, 77 Graterford Road, Limerick, 9am to noon. Business tires not accepted, limit 10 tires per resident. Click here for all 2019 tire collection dates and times and more program information.
