Coronavirus Update

On March 8 Montgomery County notified Worcester Township officials that a Worcester resident had tested presumptive positive for Coronavirus.  Since this time the Township has remained in contact with State, County and health officials in an ongoing effort to protect our community.  Information on the virus, its presence in Montgomery County, and recommended protective measures may be viewed at Montgomery County's Coronavirus Hub.  If you need additional information please contact Township Manager Tommy Ryan at the Township Building at (610) 584-1410, or by e-mail at  


  • The Township Building is open from 7:00am to 4:30pm, our regular hours.  In order to better protect our residents and Township staff we encourage all folks to conduct needed business by telephone or e-mail.
  • We continue to provide all essential public services, without interruption.
  • Recreation programs, Community Hall rentals and other selected events through Thursday, April 30 have been cancelled (click here for the complete list). In addition, Township basketball courts, tennis courts, playground areas, and park restrooms are closed.
  • Most building and other inspections have been suspended, as required by the Governor's Order.  The Township will continue to accept permit applications, with certain conditions.  For additional information contact our Codes Department.
  • The Berks Road Culvert Replacement Project has resumed.  The culvert is scheduled to be installed this week, and the road will reopen soon thereafter.     
  • Curbside collection of electronics and clothing by retrievr has been discontinued until further notice. Please click here for additional information.  
  • The Township's Office of Emergency Management remains active, and is monitoring developments that may affect our community.
